"Platelets" in an aquamarine

As with emeralds, where this is relatively common, it is possible to find  mother solution in "platelet". By mother solution, we mean the liquid that enabled the crystal to grow by supplying the constituent elements, and the chromogenic ones (in the case of aquamarine, the colour is due to a transfer of charge (Fe2+-O-Fe3+). This micrograph shows such "platelets" in an aquamarine of unknown origin. Some have a gas bubble.
